چکیده
Henna is frequently used as body adornment in Libya, the Arabic world, and some African Asian countries. It part of traditions cultures. The addition para-phenylenediamine (PPD) to natural henna increases risk allergic contact dermatitis well toxic effects, which sometimes lead severe toxicity death. Cases have already been reported Al-Bayda city - Libya. This study aimed identify presence determination PPD by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). In current study, eleven samples were collected from local markets A rapid, simple, reliable method developed validated for using 50% methanol solution solvent. over a wide linear range 5 – 25 µg/ml with correlation coefficients being consistently greater than 0.997. minimum level was observed random sample mixed (paste2) (0.0104 % w/w), while Royal Black showed highest content (11.9107 w/w). HPLC measurements indicated that results concentrations Red Shikha (natural henna) free (ND) (Not Detected). higher samples. red analyzed this below allowable limits set Scientific Committee on Consumer Products (SCCP) US Food Drugs Administration. متن کاملTemporary Black Henna Tattoos and Sensitization to para-Phenylenediamine (PPD): Two Paediatric Case Reports and a Review of the Literature
Background: The use of temporary henna tattoos has increased dramatically in recent years, especially in children and adolescents. To obtain a darker colour and prolong the life of the tattoo, red henna, a plant-derived substance, is typically added to para-phenylenediamine (PPD). The mixture is called temporary black henna tattoo (TBHT). Because of its molecular characteristics, PPD can induce...

Escherichia coli O157:H7 is an important human pathogen causing haemorrhagic colitis, haemolyticuraemic syndrom and thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. In this study, 100 ground beef samples were collected randomly from beef markets in June 2004. For isolation of the bacteria, samples were firstly enriched in modified trypticase soy broth, followed by plating onto sorbitol MacConkey agar sup...
